Pastor-Genève b.v.b.a. is a dealer in coloured diamonds, established in 1991 by professionals with decades of specialization in the study of precious gems. Our clients include collectors and connoisseurs from all walks of life who want to partake in the sheer joy of owning something both valuable and beautiful.

Many of our clients see us as a source of education about the coloured diamond category. We are increasingly approached by clients wishing to own a coloured diamond as a means of preserving and enhancing their capital — people aware that the historic trend in prices for coloured diamonds has been upwards since formal detailed records were first been compiled, largely in the past 30 years.

Pastor-Genève is a product of the structural evolution that has taken place in the past 20 years in the precious gem business. It is this new and larger audience of collectors that Pastor-Genève now serves. The era of extreme exclusivity is past and the coloured diamonds market has been brought into the modern age.

At Pastor-Genève we see ourselves as connoisseurs as well as dealers — at times reluctant to part with a favorite stone. In a recent bittersweet example, we intermediated the purchase and sale of two exceptional coloured diamonds from Australia’s Argyle mine. One, the largest purplish-Pink gemstone ever produced from that source, the other a 1-carat-plus stone of purplish-Red hue. True red diamonds that are properly G.I.A. certified number less than 50 in the entire world. Both were one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime stones we wish we could own ourselves.

The primary dealer-to-dealer trade offices of Pastor-Genève are in Antwerp. We also maintain offices in several of the other major world centers.
